The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco receives the new Ambassador of Bangladesh.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Morocco, Mr. Salaheddine Mezouar, received Monday, May 5, 2014, the new Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Md. Monirul Islam, who handed him the copies of his credentials, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary for the People's Republic of Bangladesh to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God assist Him.

On this occasion, Minister congratulated Mr. Md. Monirul Islam on his appointment, wishing that his mission is successful.

Md. Monirul Islam as Bangladesh’s new ambassador to Morocco.

The Bangladesh government has appointment to Mr. Md. Monirul Islam as the new Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Morocco. He was served as Consul General in Bangladesh Consulate General, New York, USA. A career diplomat, Monirur Islam belongs to 10th batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre.

In his distinguished diplomatic career besides being Bangladesh Consul General in New York, he served in Bangladesh Embassy, Madrid, Bangladesh High Commission Singapore, Bangladesh Embassy, Beijing and Bangladesh High Commission in Ottawa in various capacities.

He also worked as Director General (East Asia & Pacific) in the ministry.

Monirul Islam obtained MSS Degree in Economics from the University of Dhaka and also an MA in Foreign Affairs and Trade from the Monash University, Australia.
